What is naturopathic medicine?

Naturopathic medicine provides medical care for all ages from the perspective of creating health rather than suppressing illness, unless of course in an acute or life-threatening situation. Naturopathic medicine explores how the body is functioning, either creating ease or lack-of-ease (disease).

Poor health occurs due to cellular degeneration. Cellular degeneration occurs due to excesses and deficiencies. Naturopathic physicians teach patients how excesses and deficiencies occur through diet, sleep, stress, exercise, toxic exposures and natural declines of hormones and enzymes with age. With this understanding and guidance on how to prevent and reverse degeneration, patients can optimize cellular health.
