I am a diagnosed diabetic. I have had problems with neuropathy since I was young…In the last few months; I have put on about 40 lbs. I have trouble with leg pain and don’t get enough exercise. I take avandia 4mg 2 X / day, metformin 500mg, diovan hct tabs 80/12.5mg/day, allegra tabs 180mg/day, singulair tabs 10mg/day, clotrimazole/betam cr 45mg., when I get a rash. And I take 3 X / day neurontin caps 300mg. I discontinued use of Splenda after seeing you on channel 3. Do you have any suggestions?
The first thing I would look at is your nutrition plan. I would ask you to assure that you are eating every three hours - a combination of a protein and a carbohydrate. Eat small, frequent amounts of food to maintain better insulin/glucose levels. Avoiding dairy and gluten would also be a great start to minimize the systemic inflammatory response. You need to stay on your medications for now but keep a close watch on your blood sugars as I suggest that you add 200 mcg of chromium to each meal. In addition, consider sublingual B12 (under your tongue) for the neuropathy. You could benefit more deeply by knowing your actual food allergies and possibly B12 injections. Next week you can view my reviewing of a producer of Ch 3’s food allergies to understand more about that. Do have faith that the more you focus on lifestyle habits, the faster your body can heal. It doesn’t matter your age or your condition, the body has limitless wisdom to heal if we just treat it with loving respect. As far as exercise goes, start by imagining in your mind how active you’d like to be. While you see this picture, allow your body to feel what it would be like to have that amount of energy. Do this daily to start a new message to your cells. You have to let them know you believe they can heal first as I understand your frustration at not feeling well. By imagining and feeling what you want while you enhance your nutritional intake, your cells begin to believe they can heal as well.
