Both medical degrees require a certain number of hours of study in basic sciences, as well as clinical diagnosis. Allopathic medical schools offer 1,524 hours of basic sciences and 3,393 hours of clinical diagnosis. Naturopathic medical schools offer 1,535 hours of basic sciences and 1,664 hours of clinical diagnosis, with an additional 707 hours of naturopathic therapeutics and 135 hours of clinical nutrition.
